My first project from the lab portion of the program.
The assignment was basically to take an image and translate it into typography/text using different sized fonts/opacity/options (bold, italic, etc.). I went from doing a dinner conversations plate to doing a plate of breakfast foods. All the images are outlined in text. Some are literal like "sunny side up eggs" which outline the eggs and "chicken apple sausage" to outline the sausage links. For the pancake, I used Jack Johnson's "Banana Pancakes" lyrics to outline it and the banana garnishes. And the flower looking accents are hearts pieced together which read "breakfast is love." Altogether, a very tedious project but a fun and experimental one. The final product is going to be printed onto a 10" x 10" round plate. :]
(you can't see the outline, but there is a circular 10" x 10" mark)
--edit--
the plates came in today and they all look awesome!!!
it was amazing to see the end product :D
