One of my assignments for GD1 is to present a research project on a graphic designer. After debating between Neville Brody, David Carson, Stefan Sagmeister, Paul Rand, Seymour Chwast, and Milton Glaser ... Sagmeister won.
Partially because the others got taken up, but mainly because I got to see his work at the MoMA in NYC this summer. The image that was permanently stamped into my memory is the AIGA lecture poster from 1999. He asked his assistant to carve the details on to his torso using an X-acto knife and then photographed the result:
Very unsettling, but highly original and witty.

"Self-confidence produces fine results" -created using 10,000 bananas
