I recently started reading "Anna Karenina" and I have to say this is going to be quite the reading marathon! After reading fairly simple and quick reads so far this year, I'm a bit overwhelmed yet excited about this book. It's known to be one of Tolstoy's best works so I'm pretty pumped about it. So far, so good. It usually takes me awhile to adjust to the writer's style and to get used to all the characters but now I'm reaching the point where I can just consume myself into the story and get lost in it. That's the best part about a book, don't you think? Forgetting the world around you just momentarily and to participate in a story through your imagination. One of the many reasons why I love books.
